The first small group in the light and shadow atelier included Royal, Elise, Hazel, Ian, Everett, and Jacob. They saw the baby elephant getting a bath and Elise created baby elephant noises with a plastic funnel that she found on the shelf.
Children layered light and shadow over the projected videos of elephants, hot lava, and a gorilla documentary.
Ian created a sculpture using small logs to get away from the hot lava.
The PreK class watched the baby elephant from the other side of the screen during their snack!
The second group of children included Maizy, Geneva, Austin, Reed, and Theo. They were very focused on the Gorillas and their actions and soon created trees to hide in.
