Forest Class/ Kindergarten

The Forest Class is for children 4-6 years of age (pre-k and kindergarten age) with an environmentally based curriculum, small class size, an outdoor classroom and lots of outdoor explorations. The class is made up of maximum 12 children with 2 teachers. The school day happens mostly outdoors. The class also has a dedicated indoor space that is used as needed.

The children drive the curriculum through their explorations of environmental subjects, which is further supplemented through hands on work, field trips and research of the classroom community. Children attending the Forest Class will be thoroughly prepared to enter kindergarten or first grade for the follow school year. All COVID protocols of the Willow School are followed by this group.
