This Week, Joelle and Everett turned 1! They came in to share snacks and two stories with us, one from each birthday girl. They also got to join their friends at the table for school lunch, they REALLY enjoyed it!
Our infants enjoyed water play indoors with flowers. They used rubber turtles and sharks to imitate sea life experiences. Wilder decided to take swim lessons in the basin, his friends loved spraying him with water.
The infant class enjoyed sensory play with colored sand. They dragged their fingers through and observed the feel and the marks they left behind.
Finally, the infants have been outside digging, making sand angels and enjoying this beautiful weather. They created a papier-mâché mixture while outside to make nesting bowls for the classroom.
Next week the infants will paint their bowls. They will also learn about Dr. Seuss through Reggio inspired activities based on stories like “Hop on Pop.” Big bubble wands will be provided with a bubble soap mixture so the children can explore popping huge bubbles. Can’t wait to share what that week brings!
