You Can’t Rain on Our Parade!
Today was all about water play and movement! The rain couldn’t stop us as we split up into groups. Some of us ventured outside, playing follow the leader, bear hunt, and discovering different places for water. There was running water beneath the drain, where we listened, and dropped pebbles beneath to create various sound. Beyond the fence there was a “fountain,” as Donovan called it- running water gushing through the valley behind the school.
Inside, we worked with colored water relevant to our train lines (red and blue). We poured and mixed. We worked with objects that floated and those that sank. There were lots of smiles, splashing, and wet clothes of victory- similar to those of us that went outside!
Movement was a common theme today. We rolled our Playdough into big balls this morning and passed them around to friends at our table! We ran outside, playing some of our favorite games in the rain. We created waves in the water tables, and splashed all day long!
