Exploring With Our Hands.

Posted on May 4, 2016   |

         Exploring With Our Hands

Sensory is an important part of these guys lives. It helps develop their fine and gross motor skills. So this week have been all about exploring through our hands. Shaving cream was place in the sensory table along with two mirrors. We wanted to see the approach these guys would  have towards it. Many of our friends stuck their hands right in. Some of our friends were able to describe what they felt and some were just excited to spread it all over. IMG_3540

We also added a little water color to mix things up.

We even took sensory experiences outside.

Clay was also apart of our experience. We had hammers, rollers, bowls, sticks and plates on the table as well. Some of our friends instantly started cooking. They related their experience with play dough to the clay.

We used our hands very productively this week. We explored textures and made connection with old material to new materials. Creativity is at it’s best when it is not a wrong or right thing to do with an object. And this week these guys proved that. Some of our purest moment is when we let our kids explore without instructions. Then you have a chance to get to see how they view things.
