We Will ROCK You!

Posted on August 26, 2016   |   Category: Preschool Blog   |   Print this page

Happy Friday, everyone!

We just want to say THANK YOU ALL for coming out last night! We loved collaborating with you in a nontraditional environment and enjoyed exchanging ideas with you.

Also, thank you for updating your emails last night so that we can continue to communicate with you when necessary. We will update those today, and hopefully have everyone included in the email this weekend regarding what’s to come in the “Woodpecker’s” room and our Garden & Grub day (Saturday, September 10, 2016 9am-11am! (details in the email this week.

Reading is a HUGE part of our day! If you didn’t notice the large display of Barefoot Bookfair Books last night in the school hallway (by the Two’s room), we wanted to inform you that our classroom has created a WISHLIST where you can purchase books to be donated to the classroom. Some books, such as the World Atlas, and Spanish and English Words, give the children a worldly take on learning. We also added Yoga Activity Cards so we can further our practice of yoga as a class and encourage the children to lead their friends in practice. We’re looking to engage and challenge these guys as much as possible, and would really enjoy bringing new literature into our classroom. Please help 🙂

For those of you who missed last night.. (we missed you!) below is a link where you can view the slideshow we created of the work we’ve done so far! Please, enjoy this video with your little ones, so they can share the experience with you:

We also haven’t had an opportunity to thank all of the amazing families that donated books, crayons, recycled materials, globes, natural materials, sand toys, seeds, magazines, musical instruments, plants, and anything else (we may be forgetting.. it’s Friday). We really REALLY appreciate all of your love and support as we try to make our classroom a warm, safe and enriching environment for your children.

We would like to begin discussing future Field Trips for our classroom. If you have any suggestions of places we can/should go (especially regarding MARTA) please let us know via email or at drop off. We want to make sure the field trips are enriching and “thread” related, so if you ever aren’t sure of what threads we’re working on, please reference the DAILY PAGES, BLOG, or you can always just ask!

Thank you for your cooperation! Have a good weekend!

Hugs,

Team Preschool
