The children were so engaged at the Wylde Center today! There were so many things to explore at the center. We first met in the play area where children discovered the Cob House that was made of clay and sand and a sandbox that included a slide and some digging trucks. After playing in the Cob House we went to visit the chickens. Harper named a few of the chickens Red Velvet, Loopsy, and Sky. We looked at some vegetables in the different garden plots and explored the greenhouse. Inside of the greenhouse were tables with moving tops that moved with spinning handles. Ethan said “these are robots that smash the packages to make the road.”
We went to explore the creek and some of the natural art sculptures along the trail. When we arrived at the creek, Emyrsen stood in the middle of it on a rock and excitedly exclaimed with a huge smile on her face, “This is so fun!!” We are so excited to make the Wylde Center a part of our weekly classroom trips!
