Love and Culture

(this post is still in progress)

This week was all about sharing cultures with the class.  Here is a video of Evan trying a plantain that Jolees brought in to share with the class.  Evan decided that the plantain chip tasted much better than the entire fresh plantain.  Later the class did some plantain stamping!

Ms Amanda taught the kids how to make Yapengachos (an Ecuadorian potato pancake stuffed with cheese)

Ms Kate (Elise’s mom) brought in some southern cornbread.  The kids ate every crumb.

Below is a lesson by Ms. Amy (Jacob’s Mom) who taught the class how to do an egg and spoon race.  A favorite game from Great Britain.
