The younger infants

The young infant class explored oranges, grapefruit, and kiwi through sight, smell, taste, and touch.  They really enjoyed rolling the oranges as well as filling containers with the oranges, and then dumping them out again. The weather was beautiful this week, and we took full advantage by taking neighborhood strolls.  Next week, will be filled with more activities to tantilize the infants senses.

The middle infants

The middle infants this week experience playing with light and color. The middle infants learned about shadows with Mr. Lewis. They enjoyed playing with the light and shadows. The middle infants used the wood cookies to make a beautiful picture.  This week we able to get outside more which was wonderful to see. We celebrated Cecilia turning one with her two favorite things put together sweet potato and pancakes. We also took beautiful pictures this week with everyone together.  Next, week we will be exploring flowers of all kinds.

The older infants

The older infants have spent a lot of time outside this week. They have been playing as a group in the sand and also socializing with some of the older children in the play house. They have been exploring mud and sand, mixing dirt with water and using it as paint. Next week we will continue exploring their love of mud and will use it for printing. We are also introducing blossom after they showed an interest on our walk. The children will be offered mirrors and paint to see what they create with the blossom flowers.
